Short answer: Google lets you choose your own budget and bids, and you pay per click. Clicks in Singapore can cost from under a dollar to well over S$10 depending on your industry. If you hire an agency, add a management fee: published Singapore prices we found range from about S$250 to S$2,000 a month, or 10% to 20% of ad spend.

How Google Ads pricing works
Most search ads charge per click (CPC). Every time someone searches, Google runs a quick auction for the ad spots.
Here's what Google's own help pages say:
- You only pay what you need to beat the next ad. Your actual cost per click is the minimum needed to clear Google's thresholds and outrank the advertiser just below you.
- You set a ceiling. With a maximum CPC bid, you won't be charged more than that per click (automated bidding works differently).
- Top spots cost more. Ads above the search results usually have higher thresholds, so clicks there tend to cost more.
- Your budget is a monthly cap, roughly. On a busy day Google can spend up to twice your average daily budget, but over a month you won't be charged more than 30.4 times your daily budget.
So a S$50 daily budget means up to about S$1,520 a month, and on a busy day it can spend up to S$100.
What a click costs in Singapore
It depends a lot on your industry. Two Singapore agencies have published estimates this year:
| Industry (search ads) | Estimated cost per click | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Retail and ecommerce | S$0.50 to S$2.00 | 2Stallions, 2026 |
| Education and enrichment | S$2.50 to S$6.00 | 2Stallions, 2026 |
| Healthcare and medical | S$2.50 to S$7.50 | 2Stallions, 2026 |
| Legal and accounting | S$5.50 to S$9.50 | 2Stallions, 2026 |
| Across 19 industries | US$2.58 (catering) to US$32.61 (company incorporation) | D'Marketing Agency, Sep 2026 |
These are other agencies' estimates from their own data, so treat them as rough guides. The only way to know your real cost is to check Google's Keyword Planner for your own keywords, or run a small test.
How to think about your budget
Start from the number of enquiries you need, then work backwards. A simple example, with made-up numbers:
- Your clicks cost about S$5 each.
- A S$1,500 monthly budget buys about 300 clicks.
- If 1 in 20 visitors sends an enquiry, that's about 15 enquiries.
- If 1 in 3 enquiries becomes a customer, that's about 5 new customers.
Now ask: is 5 customers worth S$1,500 to you? Your real numbers will be different. Your website, your offer and your competitors all change the result, which is why no honest agency can promise you a cost per lead before you start.
A few budget tips:
- Too small spreads too thin. If your budget only buys a handful of clicks a day, you won't learn much. Focus on fewer keywords instead.
- Start with high-intent searches. "Aircon servicing Tampines" beats "aircon" for a small budget.
- Use negative keywords. Stop paying for searches like "aircon servicing job" or "free".
- Give it a few weeks. The first month is mostly learning which keywords and ads work.
What agencies charge to manage it
Management fees are separate from what you pay Google. Here's what Singapore agencies published on their own websites when we checked on 26 October 2026 (prices change, so ask for a current quote):
| Agency (website) | Published management fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| D'Marketing Agency | Plans from S$250 a month (12-month contract, ad budget up to S$1,000) up to S$1,000 a month (S$5,000+ budget). Month-to-month costs more | Their article also says the market is usually 10% to 20% of ad spend |
| 2Stallions | Says agencies typically charge S$800 to S$1,200 a month to start | A market estimate in their guide, not their own price list |
| Best SEO Singapore | S$2,000 a month or 20% of ad spend | S$2,000 minimum monthly ad budget, no setup fee |
Before you sign, ask:
- Is the ad account in my name, and will I keep it if we stop?
- What exactly is done each week or month?
- Is there a setup fee or a minimum contract?
- Do prices include GST?
Why tracking comes first
If you can't see which clicks turn into calls, WhatsApp messages or sales, you're guessing. Google describes conversion tracking as the way to learn which keywords, ads and campaigns bring in valuable customer actions, and to understand your return on investment.
Before spending a dollar, we set up:
- Conversion tracking for form submissions, calls, WhatsApp clicks or purchases.
- Google Analytics 4 linked to Google Ads.
- A clear landing page with one main action, so tracking has something to measure.
Without this, Google's conversion-based automated bidding has nothing to learn from, and you can't tell good spend from wasted spend.
Quick answers
Is there a minimum budget for Google Ads in Singapore? Google doesn't set one. Google says how much you spend is up to you, and you choose your budget and bids. Some agencies set their own minimum ad budget.
How much should a small business spend on Google Ads? Work backwards from the enquiries you need and your cost per click. Pick a budget big enough to get steady clicks on your most important keywords each day.
Why did Google spend more than my daily budget? Google can spend up to twice your average daily budget on a busy day, but no more than 30.4 times it over the month.
Can an agency guarantee results from Google Ads? No. Clicks, competition and your website all affect results. Be wary of anyone promising a fixed cost per lead or return on ad spend.
