Planning a marketing budget with a calculator and notebook

Short answer: going by agencies' own published prices (checked October 2026), a basic business website usually costs S$1,500–5,000. SEO for a small business runs about S$500–1,500 a month, and Google Ads management about S$250–2,000 a month plus your ad budget. Social media management starts around S$500–1,500 a month. Your real price depends on what you need. Here's how it all works.

Checked 26 October 2026. All ranges come from agencies' own published prices and price guides (sources at the bottom). Agencies change prices, so treat these as a guide, not a quote. Most prices are quoted before 9% GST.

Why is it so hard to get a straight answer?

Because two "websites" or two "SEO packages" can be completely different jobs. A 5-page site for a tuition centre and a 200-product online shop are both "websites". So instead of one magic number, here are the honest ranges, and what pushes your price up or down.

1. Website design

What you needTypical price (SGD)
Basic 5–8 page business site1,500 – 5,000
Custom / premium company site7,000 – 15,000+
Online shop (agency build)6,000 – 30,000 (budget packages from ~3,500)
Monthly care plan (updates, backups, security)50 – 300 / month (some agencies charge 500+)

What changes the price: template vs custom design, number of pages, platform (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow), shop features and payment options (PayNow, Stripe, GrabPay), and whether the agency writes your copy and takes photos.

Watch out for: very cheap sites that are slow, insecure, or built so Google can't read them. Ask to see the agency's PageSpeed score on their own sites.

2. SEO (showing up on Google)

What you needTypical price (SGD)
Small / local business500 – 1,500 / month
Growing business, more competition1,500 – 3,000 / month
Advanced / many pages or markets3,000 – 5,000+ / month

What changes the price: how many keywords you target, how competitive your industry is, how many articles get written each month, how big your site is, and contract length (at one agency we checked, 12-month plans work out about 30% cheaper per month than month-to-month).

Watch out for: anyone who guarantees #1 rankings. Google itself says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking.

3. GEO / AI search (showing up in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI answers)

This is new, so prices are all over the place:

What you needTypical price (SGD)
Entry planfrom about 1,500 / month
Fuller programmefrom about 3,000 – 4,000 / month
One-off auditfrom about 2,500 (some agencies offer a free basic check)

Honest note: very few agencies publish GEO prices yet, and many of the numbers out there come from agencies ranking themselves. Ask exactly what's included: which AI tools they track, how often, and what they'll actually change on your site.

4. Google Ads management

What you needTypical price (SGD)
Management fee250 – 2,000 / month at the agencies we checked (often priced by the size of your ad budget)
Or a percentage10% – 20% of your ad spend
One-time setupnone to ~500+ per campaign (some agencies charge no setup fee)

Remember: the fee is for managing the ads. Your ad budget is separate and goes to Google. Google has no minimum, so how much you spend is up to you. Most Singapore guides suggest small businesses start with about S$1,000–3,000 a month in ad spend so there's enough data to learn from.

5. Social media

What you needTypical price (SGD)
Content & posting (4–12 posts)500 – 1,500 / month
More posts (up to ~20 a month)1,500 – 2,000+ / month (video usually extra)
Paid social ads (Meta, TikTok) managementUsually quoted separately, as a flat fee or a % of ad spend. Ask which.
小红书 (Xiaohongshu)from about 2,000 / month for content management; KOL campaigns extra (about 3,000 – 20,000+ each)

What about grants?

Grant rules for digital services changed in 2026. PSG, EDG and MRA stopped taking new applications on 29 September 2026, and Enterprise Singapore's new EDGE grant took over from 30 September 2026. For some activities you have to pick from a list of pre-approved vendors (we're not on that list yet). Check the latest on Enterprise Singapore before you count on any subsidy.

How to compare quotes (checklist)

  1. Is the price before or after GST?
  2. What exactly is included each month? Ask for a list, not "SEO work".
  3. Minimum contract? Notice period?
  4. Is ad spend separate from the fee?
  5. Will you own your website, domain, Google Ads and analytics accounts? (You should.)
  6. How will they report results, and how often?
  7. Do they promise rankings or sales? (Walk away if they do.)
